Mauro Imán Senior Product Designer

A travel agency decided to redesign the website in order to stand out in a highly competitive market. They wanted to improve conversion as well as position the brand as a company that offers "experiences" highly customizable to travelers wishes instead of just fixed tourist packages.

What I did

  • Business Analyst.
  • UX Discovery.
  • UI/UX Designer.
  • Visual Design.
  • SEO Optimization.
  • Web Development.
HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, Wordpress, PHP, widgets and plugins integration

The results

  • Leads increased significantly. Navigation is flat and easy, when they find something interesting, they can contact the agency by phone, chat or filling the form. On the other side, a representative carries on the business flow in order to close a deal.
  • End to end workflow defined and tested.
  • The website fits perfectly within the internal processes of the travel agency. They fully manage the content of the website, posting experiences, testimonials, blog articles, news, etc. It smoothly integrates with their business model.
  • Website design still looks fresh after 4 years.

Design Rationale

During the discovery process, I had several meetings with the owners of the agency in order to define the problems and needs. Also I did a research on the competitors as well as the current customers (I met with a few of them in order to obtain more insights). This information allowed me to define a layout focused on images to attact their attention (images transmit excitement, happiness, friends, family, emotions), once I've got their attention they can contact the agency through different channels. On the other side, an executive will continue the commercial speech in order to persuade and eventually concrete a sale.
